Fine-wale corduroy, soft to the hand, cut generous and a little longer than a shirt. Buttoned it is a shirt, open it is a light jacket, and the extended length is what makes the second reading work.
Two colours that are both easier to wear than a navy overshirt, and softer than one too.
The fabric
A fine-wale cord with enough body to hold a shoulder but drape rather than stand away from you. Button front, chest pocket, proper shirt construction throughout.
How it fits
Chest 44 inches, length 26 inches, one size and cut oversized. The length sits below the hip, which is what lets it work as outerwear.
Looking after it
Cold wash inside out and hang to dry. Corduroy flattens where it is pressed, so keep an iron off the wales and steam it from the reverse instead. Brushing it along the wale after a wash lifts the pile back.
As a korean fashion jacket it is the lightest thing we carry, and the cute fall fashion layer for days that cannot decide — comfy cute clothes that pass for dressed.
