Terms and Conditions for Shopping with Oops Mine Co.

These are the terms you agree to when you shop with Oops Mine Co. LLC. Plain sentences, no traps: what an order is, how we handle prices, shipping and returns, what belongs to whom, and where to reach a person when something looks wrong.

Last updated September 24, 2026

What you agree to

Oops Mine Co. LLC runs this online boutique from Houston, Texas. When you browse oopsmineco.com, sign up for our emails or place an order, you agree to the terms on this page. They sit alongside our refund and returns policy, our shipping policy and our privacy policy, which are part of the same agreement. If you do not agree with something here, the simplest answer is not to order — but we would rather you write to us first and let us explain it.

We wrote this page the way we write everything else: short sentences you can read once. That does not make it any less real, so please read it before you check out. Anything we had to say in longer words is broken into its own heading, and the list on the left jumps you straight to the part you came for.

Who can shop here

You need to be 18 or older to place an order on your own. If you are younger than that, a parent or guardian places the order for you and stays responsible for it. You also confirm that the details you give us — name, shipping address, email, payment information — are yours and are correct. We are an online store with a mailing address in Houston and no walk-in hours, so everything happens through the site, email or the phone.

Where we ship, and what it costs, is shown at checkout. We can refuse or cancel an order when the details do not add up, when a payment is flagged by our provider, or when an address is one we cannot ship to. That is not a judgment on you; it is the only way a small shop keeps fraud away from real shoppers.

Pieces, colors and prices

Every piece is listed with the detail we have: fabric, measurements, fit notes and photos. Screens differ, so a color can read warmer or cooler on your phone than the fabric does in your hands, and a measurement can move a little between two pieces cut from the same pattern. We buy in small batches, which is why the boutique looks different month to month — and why a piece can sell out while it sits in your cart. Stock shown on a product page is a snapshot, not a reservation.

Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax or shipping; both are added at checkout, based on where the order is going. We can change a price, start an offer or end one at any time before you place an order. If a price, description or photo turns out to be wrong — a typo in a price, a size chart attached to the wrong piece — we can correct it, and we can cancel any order placed at the wrong price. If that happens after you have paid, we refund you in full and email you to explain.

Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a finished deal. The confirmation email you get straight after checkout tells you we received it; we accept the order when we charge your payment method and send the package. Until that moment we can still decline it, and we will tell you why.

Pay with any of the methods shown at checkout. The payment itself is handled by our payment provider, not stored by us — what we do keep is written out in the privacy policy. Sales tax is added where the law asks for it, based on your shipping address. If we ship an order outside the United States, any customs duties or import taxes are paid by whoever receives the package and are not part of what you paid us.

  • Stock ran out. Small batches sell through, and two people can reach the last size at once.
  • Payment could not be verified. Our provider flagged it, or the billing details do not match the card.
  • The address will not work. Incomplete, undeliverable, or somewhere we do not ship to.
  • The order is not a shopper's order. Bulk buying for resale without a wholesale agreement in writing.

Changing or canceling an order

Ask early and we will do what we can. Email hello@oopsmineco.com with your order number as soon as you know you want a different size, a fixed address or a cancellation. While the package is still with us, that is usually a two-minute fix. Once it is with the carrier the order stands, and the returns policy takes over from there.

We can also cancel an order ourselves before it ships, for any of the reasons listed above. If we do, your money goes back by the same method you paid with and you get an email telling you what happened. We do not hold a payment for an order we have decided not to send.

Shipping, and when a package becomes yours

Shipping choices and rates are shown at checkout and set out on the shipping policy page. Any delivery estimate comes from the carrier once your package is with them, and it stays an estimate: weather, holidays and customs all move dates around, and we have no way to speed a package up once it is in the system.

Risk of loss passes to you when we hand the package to the carrier. That is the ordinary rule for online orders, and it is the reason the address you type matters — read it back to yourself before you pay, because we cannot redirect a parcel that has already left. If something is late, damaged or has gone quiet in tracking, tell us anyway. We will chase the carrier with you, and a damaged piece is handled under the returns policy.

Returns and store credit

Not every piece works out, and we would rather you said so. Returns are for store credit, and a return has to be postmarked within seven days of the purchase date, in new and unused condition with the original tags and labels attached. You email us first for an RMA number; the steps, the address and the timing are all written down.

Some items cannot come back: sale and final-sale pieces, and a short list of categories kept out for hygiene. The full text — the process, the exceptions, the fees and what happens with a damaged or defective piece — lives on the refund and returns policy page, and that page is the one that counts. What you are reading here is a summary of it, not a replacement for it.

Read the returns policy

Promo codes and offers

One promo code per order. Codes do not stack with each other or with another offer, they have no cash value, and they cannot be added to an order that is already placed — so type yours in before you check out. Each code carries its own rules: a minimum spend, the pieces it works on, a date it stops.

We can change or end an offer at any time without notice, and we can void a code that is posted publicly or used in a way it was never meant for. One thing worth knowing before you use a big discount: a code above a certain size can make an order final sale. The returns policy spells out which orders that covers.

Your account

You can check out as a guest or keep an account. An account holds your addresses, your order history and your email preferences, and it makes the second order faster than the first. Keep your password to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so tell us quickly if you think someone else has it.

Keep your details current, too — an old address is the most common reason a package goes astray. We can suspend or close an account used for fraud, for abuse of the person answering our inbox, or for repeated chargebacks raised instead of a conversation. You can ask us to close yours at any time, and the privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you do.

What belongs to us

The name Oops Mine Co., the logo, the monogram stamped on our photos, the page designs, the words on this site and the images we shoot or license are ours or our licensors'. Look at all of it, save a picture for your own styling folder, share a link, send a piece to a friend who needs to see it. That is what it is there for.

What you cannot do is lift our photos or our wording onto another store, resell our images, or pass any of it off as your own. Brand names that belong to other people stay theirs. If you want to use something of ours — a photo for a blog post, a page for a class project — ask us. We usually say yes.

Reviews, photos and anything you post

Leave a review, send a photo of yourself in the piece you claimed on sight, tag us — we love it, and we may show it. By posting or sending us content you tell us it is yours to share and that it breaks nobody else's rights, and you give us a free, non-exclusive right to use it on the site, in our emails and on our social pages, with credit where we can give it.

You keep ownership of what you post. Ask us to take something down and we will. We can edit or remove content that is off-topic, abusive or untrue, and we do not pay for photos or reviews people send us — which is also why the reviews on this site read like real people, because they are.

How not to use the site

Use the site the way a shopper would and you will never think about this section again. The rest is the part we have to say out loud, because the list below is what puts a small boutique at risk.

  • No scraping, bots or bulk copying of our catalog, photos or wording.
  • No attempt to break, overload or get around the security of the site or of another shopper's account.
  • No fake accounts, fake reviews or payments that are not yours to make.
  • No ordering for resale without a wholesale agreement from us in writing.
  • No abusive, hateful or illegal content in reviews, messages or forms.
  • No use of the site that breaks a law where you are or where we are.

What we can and cannot promise

We keep the site accurate and running as well as a small team can. What we cannot promise is that it is free of every error, available every minute, or that the piece you saw last week is still on the rail. Pieces are sold as described: the fabric, fit notes and measurements on the product page are the description, and the returns policy covers the times a piece arrives wrong.

We are not responsible for a loss nobody could reasonably see coming — time lost, an occasion missed, or money you expected to make from something you bought here. Where the law lets us set a limit, our responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for that order. None of this removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be signed away, and nothing here limits our responsibility for fraud. Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may simply not apply to you.

Texas law, and settling a disagreement

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without applying its conflict-of-law rules, and a dispute that has to go to court goes to the state or federal courts sitting in Texas. If you shop from somewhere else, that choice does not take away consumer protections your local law gives you and does not let us waive.

Start with an email. Almost everything we have ever had to sort out was sorted by one person reading one message and fixing it the same week. If a court ever decides a part of these terms cannot stand, the rest keeps working as written, and a right we do not enforce straight away is not a right we gave up.

Changes to these terms

We update this page when the shop changes — a new payment method, a new shipping route, a rule we learned we needed. The date at the top tells you when we last touched it, and the version on this page at the moment you order is the version that applies to that order. Changes are never backdated to orders already placed. Carrying on with the site after an update means you accept the update, so it is worth a second look when you see the date move.

Reach a person

Questions about these terms, or about anything else on the site, go to one inbox. Email hello@oopsmineco.com or call 346-847-6606, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm Central Time. Mail reaches us at Oops Mine Co. LLC, 12712 W Lake Houston Pkwy, Ste B-4014, Houston, TX 77044 — a mailing address, not a shop, so there are no walk-in hours. More ways in, and the answers we give most often, are on the contact page and in the FAQ.

Questions

Do these terms replace the returns policy?

No. The refund and returns policy is the full text, written by the owner, and it is the page that decides a return. This one summarizes it so the terms of sale read as one piece. Where the two ever read differently, the returns policy wins. Shipping works the same way: the shipping policy carries the detail, and this page points at it.

Can I cancel an order after I place it?

Yes, as long as the package has not shipped. Email hello@oopsmineco.com with your order number as soon as you can and we will cancel it and refund you by the method you paid with. Once the parcel is with the carrier we cannot pull it back, so the return route takes over instead: store credit, postmarked within seven days of the purchase date.

Are prices on the site in US dollars?

Yes. Every price is in US dollars and does not include sales tax or shipping; both are added at checkout, based on the address you are shipping to. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the rate and can add a fee of its own. Duties or import taxes on an order leaving the United States are paid by the person receiving the package.

Can I use two promo codes on one order?

One code per order, and codes do not combine with each other or with another offer. Type it in before you pay, because we cannot add a code to an order that is already placed. Offers can end without notice, and a discount above a certain size can make an order final sale — the returns policy explains which orders that covers.

Something here reads as unclear. Who do I ask?

Write to hello@oopsmineco.com or call 346-847-6606 during boutique hours, Central Time. There is one person behind this boutique and she reads every note, so a plain question gets a plain answer. If a line on this page is hard to follow, tell us which one — we would rather rewrite it than have you guess at what it means.
