A fine vertical knit — something between a herringbone and a rib — cut as an A-line that falls past the knee. Soft enough to pull on without thinking, with enough drape to hang properly rather than cling.
The fringe at the hem is what takes it out of the basics drawer. It adds movement and a hand-finished look a plain knit skirt does not have.
The fabric
A soft mid-weight knit with recovery, opaque in all three colours. Elastic waistband all the way round, so it pulls on and adapts.
How it fits
One size. The hem falls past the knee on most people and at mid-calf if you are petite.
Looking after it
Cold wash on a delicate cycle inside a mesh bag, dried flat. Fine knits pill where they rub, so turn it inside out for the wash and take a comb to it twice a season rather than picking at it by hand.
It is the korean fashion skirt that quietly becomes the most-worn thing you own, and among comfy cute clothes the one that still looks deliberate — a cute clothes for winter staple that works in July.
