Description

A smooth woven over a fine fleece lining. The lining is smooth rather than brushed, so it does not add bulk at the thigh or cling to tights.

How it fits

Looking after it

Cold machine wash and hang to dry. It presses easily if you want the seams crisp; a warm iron on the reverse is enough. Wash it with like colours for the first few goes.

Why we took this one

Cropped on purpose, because a wide leg that reaches the floor reads as heavy. Fleece inside, so they are considerably warmer than they look.

Cropping keeps the volume and loses the weight, which is why so many full-length wide legs stay on the hanger. The lining is the second half of the purchase: warmth built into the trouser rather than added underneath it, so nothing about the outside line changes on a cold morning.
