Yuja is the Korean citron, and a yuja toner is the gentle route to brightness — vitamin C-adjacent, without the sting or the oxidation problems a true vitamin C serum brings.
It hydrates as it brightens, which matters: a good deal of dullness is dehydration rather than pigment, and this works on both.
What is in it
A light fluid toner, not milky, with the citrus note coming from the extract rather than added fragrance. Nothing in it conflicts with an acid or a retinol used later in the routine.
The size of it
200ml, a generous bottle for a toner. Used twice a day it still lasts a season.
Good to know
Keep the cap on and the tube out of a sunlit window or a hot car – heat degrades a formula faster than time does. Use it within a year of opening.
As a korean toner it is the easiest thing to add to a routine that already works, which is the only kind of korean skincare addition worth making.
