Description

A structured A-line in a heavy-gauge fabric, finished with a band of vintage-style lace at the hem. The lace is the only ornament and it changes the whole register of the skirt — without it this would be a plain winter midi.

Two colours: a deep saturated brown, and a black with no blue in it.

Why we took this one

The lace at the hem is the only ornament, and without it this would be another winter midi. The waistband runs from 24 inches to 36, which is why it is sold as one size.

A band worked into the hem rather than stitched on top is a small manufacturing difference and the entire reason this looks considered — it is also why it survives a wash that a sewn-on trim would not. Two colours, and the noble noir is the one that goes to work.

  • Usual — boots and a denim jacket, which the lace stops from reading as plain.
