Wide-Leg Knit Set

A fine-gauge knit in two pieces: an oversized, slightly slouchy jumper and high-waisted wide-leg trousers cut from the same yarn. Monochrome top to bottom, which is what makes it read as an outfit rather than as separates.

It is light, smooth and warm without weight — the sort of knit you can sit in all day and then leave the house in.

The fabric

A fine-gauge knit with recovery, opaque in all three colours. Both halves are knitted rather than cut and sewn from jersey, which is what gives the set its drape.

How it fits

One size. Top: chest 44–56 inches, length 26 inches. Trousers: waist 23–40 inches, rise 14.5 inches, inseam 26 inches. The jumper is cut long enough to wear over the trousers without looking cropped.

Looking after it

Cold wash on a delicate cycle inside a mesh bag, dried flat. Fine knits pill where they rub, so turn it inside out for the wash and take a comb to it twice a season rather than picking at it by hand.
