Description

Narrow stripes in red and cream across a fine, dense knit, with a full-length zip and a small stand collar.

The stripes run horizontally on the body and change direction at the cuffs and the collar band, which is a small thing that stops it looking mass-made.

The fabric

Viscose for the softness, polyester and nylon for the shape — a knit with stretch and recovery that stays flat rather than growing through a day. Ribbed trims at the cuffs and the hem.

How it fits

Two sizes, M and L. Cut close enough to wear zipped as a top and loose enough to go over a tee.

Looking after it

Cold wash on a delicate cycle inside a mesh bag, dried flat. Fine knits pill where they rub, so turn it inside out for the wash and take a comb to it twice a season rather than picking at it by hand.

For korean fashion winter it is the layer that does not add bulk, and it lands squarely among cute clothes for women in their 30s — colour without costume, and comfy cute clothes that pass at work.

Why we took this one

The stripes change direction at the collar and the cuffs, which is a small thing that stops it looking mass-made. Flat enough to pack, warm enough to be the only layer.

It packs flat and adds no bulk under a coat, which sounds like a small virtue until you are deciding what to take for four days. Zipped it is a top with nothing needed underneath; open it is a light jacket. For korean fashion winter that is two garments in the space of one.
